This eighteenth century mansion turned printing house is now a 13-room boutique hotel, which can be booked as an entire villa or just by the room. It blends boho chic with modern comforts seamlessly, adorned with silk cushions, Indian rugs, and designer furniture. It feels remarkably elegant and spacious considering it’s in the heart of the fort, with white washed walls, high ceilings, and a large central lounge with oversized sofas. The courtyard provides a shady oasis filled with frangipani trees and is the perfect place to dine. There’s also a shimmering pool to dip in to, a rarity within the fort.

There are eight bedrooms in the main building; four are on the first floor of the main building. They are divided between History, Geography and Art Rooms as well as the Headmaster’s Suite and Prefect’s Suite.  The History, Geography and Art Rooms are similar to each other with high-beamed ceilings and colourful fabrics. The Headmaster’s Suite, which is on the first floor, is fantastic and overlooks the swimming pool as well as Galle Lighthouse. The Prefects Suite is in the courtyard next to the swimming pool so is away from the main house. This has a bath, whereas the other rooms just have showers.  In 2013 three new rooms were added, in the New Wing, these are more modern in style. This wing has a communal living and dining space as well.
