Passikudah is essentially a small coastal village that sits next to a beautiful golden bay. Days here can be spent relaxing in one of the few small resorts and boutique hotels. For those wishing to be more active there are some great diving spots, including the great HMS Hermes, a WW2 British naval ship. Most hotels will recommend LSR, a specialist dive centre in town. They can arrange diving trips, snorkelling and sea fishing. There are also catamaran trips and motorised water sports available as well. Polonnaruwa, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is within a two-hour drive from Passikudah. This is well worth a visit if you are not otherwise heading to the ancient cities. Please note these are just ideas of things to do and are not included in the cost of your trip.
